Enchanting, Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing, Working as a Better team…and the Glory of the Pandaria Hero!

That’s right folks… September 25th is almost here and it’s time to get our game faces on! LoA will be raiding Mogu’shan Vaults as soon as it is available! Just as in past expansions you can always look to the guild to find groups to run dungeons and get help completing quests. So dust off those headsets, stock up on those hawt pockets and redbulls & kiss your loved ones good buy… IT’S GAME TIME!!!

Well it’s that time again… we’re at the end of an expansion and it’s time to finish off this chapter on a high note. As with previous expansions, attendance is an issue. LoA has experienced this before at the close of an expansion and we’ve always come back stronger! This time, as the saying goes, instead of “beating a dead horse” and waiting for Blizzard to come out with new content, the officers have decided that it would be best to cancel scheduled raids until patch 5.0. We will of course be starting a ‘Re-Roll’ thread for anyone who wish’s to change their main character for the expansion.
The officers (and I) want to thank EVERYONE for their hard work and dedication during this expansion. We once again proved that LoA is one of the, and continues to be one of the best, longest lasting guilds on Alexstrasza. Everyone take a well deserved break… We look forward to seeing all of you again in MoP!!!

So it’s no secret that I’ve been AFK for what seems like FOREVER but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about LoA. The officers and I have been busy talking about what changes we’d like to make to the front site/forums in the near future while we get ready for Pandas and Pokemon. Some may have noticed that we’ve been testing a new application process to help make it easier to apply to LoA. Recently we made some changes to the front site to not only show ‘Hot Forum Topics’ on the front site, but you are now able to log into the forums and now the WordPress site with your forum account. This opens some interesting possibilities for us to allow our members to contribute to site content. I’d also like to setup a gallery where members can upload RELATED (no ponies Rohan) pics to show off our awesomeness! Lastly we’ve been looking into ways to integrate our Facebook, Twitter and WP sites together. More to come on that later. We’re looking at giving our front site and forums a face lift over the coming months so stay tuned for more info on that as well. Possible design contests may be incoming! Anyways, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about all of these changes. If you have any suggestions or would like to help feel free to leave a comment. We’re always looking for an extra set of hands!

On June 4th, 2011, the Lords of Alexstrasza lost a raider, a past GM and most importantly a good friend. Some of you may have known him as the Paladin Kerby, others by the Warlock Jokstrap or even the warrior Kibogue, charging through the BGs. We knew him as Jok and will miss him dearly.
For as long as we own lordsofalex.net, we will leave an Eternal Flame in his memory on the frontpage of our site. Feel free to post any thoughts or memories you have. We would love to hear them.

Patch 4.0.6 is now live on all all realms. This is the first large patch since the release of Cataclysm. In addition to many bug fixes and updates to tooltips, this patch will introduce balance changes and updates to classes, races, dungeons, raids, PvP gameplay, professions, and more. Well he didn’t get realm first… but he was the first in the guild to hit level 85! In his defence… the whole turning in the 25 dailies and not getting any XP for them sucked but you still have to give it to him… he went in with a goal and got it done! So a big congratulations to Sanignacio for being the first Lord of Alexstrasza to hit level 85!

In the wake of the destruction that was brought by the Shattering, the Lords of Alexstrasza once again prepare to set off on an epic journey through unknown lands, to battle unknown foes and to rescue Azeroth from certain doom. We have defeated elemental monsters in the depths of the Molten Core, we’ve shown demonic Night Elves that we were indeed prepared, we’ve sent demons scurrying back down the well that they came and we’ve defeated Kings who sit upon frozen thrones! Yes, it has been a long time since our skills were put to the test… but finally… the time has come for us to once again rise to the challenge… Lords it’s time, time to rise up!
